Yuengling will begin distribution in Texas this fall.
In part of a new partnership with Molson Coors Beverage Company, D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc. is expanding distribution of its famous East Coast beers westward, with Texas as the first state in its plan.
D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc. is nearly 200 years old, making it the oldest brewery in the United States. Based in Pennsylvania, the brand has established markets in 22 states in the East Coast. For the first time since its founding in Pottsville in 1829, the brewery is making its way to the Lonestar State.
“We have heard from consumers all over the country who are excited to enjoy our beer, which is why we’re proud to announce that Texas will be the first western state we’ll be expanding to,” said Wendy Yuengling, 6th-generation family member and Chief Adminstration Officer of the company.
“We are working hard to ensure our recipes and brewing traditions will be followed to our high-quality standards. We have passionate Yuengling fans in Texas, so we are excited to finally bring them the goods.”
Slated for this fall, Yuengling will start production through Fort Worth’s Molson Coors’ brewery.
“We are excited to take the first step in our long-brewing partnership, a step that will provide tremendous growth opportunity for Yuengling and Molson Coors, said President and CEO of Molson Coors Beverage Company, Gavin Hattersley. “By brewing Yuengling’s iconic beer at our world-class Ft. Worth facility, we are going to make a lot of Texans happy.”
The distribution expansion follows the two companies recent partnership made in September of last year.
