Can you navigate the back roads of this corn maze?
Among being the best state in the USA, Texas also has the most distinct shape and boy do we love it. Texas-shaped waffles, Texas-shaped cutting boards, Texas-shaped swimming pools — yes, to all of the above. In further celebration the great shape of Texas, Sweetberry Farm have modeled their corn maze to the Lone Star State!
Fall is here and while the weather in Texas doesn’t quite comprehend the concept, the great people here still know how to celebrate the season. Of course, things are a little different this year all things considering. But the autumn show goes on, specifically, at Sweetberry Farm.
Sweetberry Farm, located at 1801 FM1980 in Marble Falls, has launched their Harvest of Fall Fun Festival running until November 8. Across the 60-acre farm, Sweetberry offers a cornucopia of seasonal attractions entertaining for all ages. Those include, but are not limited to: hayrides, pumpkin painting, scarecrow stuffing, face painting, flower picking, sand art, train rides, pony rides, and pumpkin grills on weekends.
Not to mention their Texas-sized maze:
“We surveyed the perimeter of the State of Texas into a field. We then plant ‘Texas’ to a Haygrazer grass that gets up to 10 feet tall (not all of Texas is that tall though). The result is a 4 acre field that looks exactly like Texas from the air. Signs representing real places in the State of Texas are put into their respective spots in our Texas. We then cut pathways to and fro which all connect creating a labyrinth. The object of the game is to find all the places in Texas, each marked with said sign and a hole punch to mark your gamecard,” the farm wrote on their website.
Additionally, visitors are welcome to graze through their pumpkin patch in search of their future jack-o-lantern.
Sweetberry Farm is open Monday through Saturday (closed Wednesdays) from 8:30 am – 5:30 pm. On Sundays, the farm funs from 11am – 5pm. Prices vary on the farm by the attraction or event. They do accept cash, check, and card on-site. Pets are not allowed. For more information, visit their website.
