Ain’t no party like an Alamo Drafthouse party!
Where do you stand on the whole theater vs. at-home movie-watching experience? While we firmly plant our flag in the theater camp, the other side does have a valid point or two. Every once in a while there’s that one person who has to text with their screen cranked up to full-brightness. And then there’s the restless toddler, who’s tantrum is bound to bring the whole cinema’s roof crashing down — we watch a lot of Pixar movies.
When it comes to movies in theaters, you never know who is going to be in that crowd with you… until now. Get the best of both worlds: the big screen, and a hand-selected audience to enjoy it with at Alamo Drafthouse by renting your own private Alamo!
Now, you can rent out Lakeline or Slaughter Lane Alamo Drafthouse in Austin for you and up to 30 of your friends, family, colleagues and/or acquaintances. To reserve your theater, all you have to do is pick an available date in the coming 3-14 days and lay down $150 for the rental. One minor catch is that after renting, audience members must purchase at least $150 in food and drink whilst enjoying the film.
As for the films in question, Alamo has dozens of movies to choose from. Whether its classics like The Goonies, Jaws, and Jurassic Park, family friendly movies like Shrek, Dolittle, or How To Train Your Dragon, superhero movies like Wonder Woman and Aquaman, cult hits such as Gremlins and They Live, and/or Halloween horror fuel, like The Nightmare on Elm Street and The Thing (1982) — the Drafthouse has something for everyone.
Outside food isn’t allowed. Reservations can be cancelled with a refund up to 48 hours in advance.
