Feed your nostalgia for old Mexican-American fast-food favorites next week with the return of the Taco Fuego pop up at The Austin Winery. On Wednesday, January 27, Taco Bell lovers will have the opportunity to order discarded menu items from the famed franchise.
This coming Wednesday, from 6 – 9 pm, the Taco Fuego pop-up at The Austin Winery will feature a variety of lost-but-not-forgotten Taco Bell menu options. Pre-orders start next Monday at noon. While ordering details and menu items have yet to be fully released, the last go around featured menu items such as homespun takes on TB’s 7-Layer Burrito (7 Level Burrito), Mexican Pizza (Za Bless), Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes (Cheesy Fuego Taters), and Double Decker Tacos (Dubbie Deckie).
Buyers must select a pick-up time online when ordering on when to collect their purchase on Wednesday. On-site beverage purchases will be available Wednesday as will dine-in services on the bar’s patio. Last time, the pop-up, because an Taco Bell reincarnation wouldn’t be complete without Mountain Dew products, gave customers the opportunity to choose from an assortment of libations including Baja Blast. This time, customers will also get to order wine if so inclined.
Taco Fuego isn’t the only pop-up in town. From now until January 31, Austinites can step into the whimsical world at Devil May Care and experience what it would have been like to go to a private art show during the summer of love – with slightly less psychedelics, that is. The pop-up features a colorful array of pop art pieces from local artists, including Phoebe Joynt and Rey Mar. Additionally the pop-up features a far out selection chic furniture, groovy kaleidoscopic neon lighting, colorful cocktails, and DJ sets.
