Lagoonfest offers exciting socially distanced entertainment throughout the month of October.
Lago Mar, the 12-acre lagoon in Texas City, won’t go softly into the autumn light. With their month-long Oktober Lagoonfest, the lagoon is infusing summer-soaked activities across a mile-length of shoreline!
Don’t want to let go of summer? Take a dive into Lago Mar this October. Soak up some sun in a private cabana, take a spin on a jet ski, or go for a run on the lagoon’s aqua course. Whatever water activity you can fathom, the lagoon’s got it; not excluding sailboats, stand-up paddle boards, kayaks, electric jet boards, and the largest floating obstacle in the United States of America (on a lagoon).
Additionally, the lagoon is hosting live DJs every weekend dropping hit beats as well as Fitness Fridays for keeping that summer body in shape throughout the winter months. Although that might be a little harder said than done, especially with the culinary lineup that the festival has on deck, including local favorites such as: True Dog Gourmet Hot Dogs and Fries, Kurbside Eatz Asian Fusion, Pit King BBQ, Mr Sizzles Hand Crafted Gourmet Burgers, and Gelü Artisan Italian Ice.
Given the circumstances, Lago Mar is taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of attendants at Oktober Lagoonfest. Such as:
- required masks for staff
- temperature checks
- frequent cleaning of high-touch areas
- social distancing signage in high traffic areas
For full details on their safety measures, visit their website here.
Lagoonfest will be open from 11 am to sunset on Fridays and 10 am to sunset on Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets are limited and are encouraged to be purchased in advance. Prices vary but start at $15 for adults with a $3.60 service charge.
