H-E-B Is Launching A Vaccine Registration Portal

The Texas-based grocery outlet already has a limited quantity of the Moderna vaccine.

Residents in designated groups will soon be able to get vaccinations provided by grocery outlet, H-E-B, as the retailer has made an request for additional vaccines from the state.

“We’re proud to partner with the State of Texas to administer the COVID-19 vaccine to you and our local communities,” said Donna Montemayor, Senior Director of H-E-B Pharmacy.

H-E-B will soon be accepting registrations for on-site vaccinations at its pharmacies. Once it receives an additional allocation of the Moderna vaccine, H-E-B will begin issuing vaccines to members designated in Phase 1A and Phase 1B groups – healthcare workers and longterm care facility residents; residents over the age of 65, or 18 with underlying health conditions, respectively.

After vaccines are issued throughout these groups, H-E-B will receive vaccine applications for members in Phase 1C, which includes essential frontline workers.

H-E-B is not accepting walk-ins. Recipients must first schedule an appointment through their website. This will be made available with the arrival of a new shipment.
