1. Experience Magical Candlelight Concerts

You can still experience an absolutely magical spring here in Austin, and part of that is thanks to the amazing outdoor spaces the city has to offer. Luckily, Fever Originals is bringing its wildly popular Candlelight concert series to beautiful open-air venues for the season.

2. Get Your Tickets To This Tantalizing Dining In The Dark 

Imagine stepping inside a restaurant blanketed in darkness and being served a sublime three-course meal – the flavors and textures of which are intensified by your remaining senses. Sounds a little bit incredible, right? An experience that’s been backed by psychologists as an ‘amplified’ way to enjoy food, the enticing ‘Dining In The Dark’ event is coming to Austin this May so you can find out yourself.

3. Stop At Silent Bob’s Pop-Up

The fictional restaurant of Mooby’s, as seen in Kevin Smith movies, is breaking the fourth wall with a brick-and-mortar pop-up in Austin from May 10 – May 15.

4. Take A Dip In Barton Springs

 

Barton Springs and Deep Eddy Pool in Austin need no introduction, that is, unless you’re a recent import – possibly Californian. In which case, the pool and springs are two of Austin’s top spots to take a dip. Back in March, the two swimming holes reopened to the public, giving swimmers, sunbathers, and waders the chance to enjoy the outdoors.

5. Possibly Enjoy The New Waterloo Park

With all the incoming companies, celebrities, and other Californians moving to Austin, it’s becoming abundantly clear that Austin is on a path to becoming the new LA – for better or worse. And while many Austinites cringe at the idea, there is at least one thing for the whole city to get behind this year, and that’s the opening of the new downtown Waterloo Park.

Have no fear! ‘Drive ‘N Drag’ is here! The fiercest of all drive-ins featuring RuPaul’s Drag Race alumni, will be rolling into Ingram Park Mall in San Antonio.   • Horizon on the Hill in Marble Falls is a wedding venue like none other. The countryside venue offers sweeping views of the surrounding countryside, a majestic look over Lake LBJ and Lake Marble Falls, and a dazzling stardome that acquaints visitors with a magical view of the constellations.

Hyde Park may possibly well be the most charming neighborhood in Austin. And it’s due to its quaint collection of local coffee houses, restaurants, and grocers. In the near future, the Den plans to open an off-leash dog park as well as construct a kid-friendly awning area.

Every self-respecting Texan knows that in spring it is an absolute necessity to pay homage to the official flower of the Lonestar State – the majestic and pure bluebonnet.
