5. Austin Ashiatsu
Jump start your day with new energy at Austin Ashiatsu! Ashiatsu is a Japanese massage that helps to release muscle tension and rejuvenate the tissue, based on concepts in traditional Chinese medicine. With their own brand of ashiatsu, the wellness center is one of the best in town for undoing tension and stress.
During the treatment, a skilled massage therapist will use their feet to apply deep pressure to your body. You’ll feel all your daily worries and tight knots slowly fade away, as the trained therapists engage in deep relaxing strokes and just the right detailed and sustained pressure to release muscle tension. There are 60-, 90- or 120-minute sessions to choose from, so you can opt for the option that best fits your schedule.

6. Myo
Catherine and Levi founded Myo, a massage, movement and yoga studio and one of the best spas in town, in 2006. Combined, they have 18 years experience in massage therapy, pain management, myofascial release, lymphatic drainage and Structural Bodywork. The wellness center offers a range of therapeutic massages like the popular Myo, which is a blend of deep tissue and relaxing massage.
Other local favourites are the Deep Tissue that targets the deeper layers of muscle and fascia and the Swedish massage, with an emphasis on circulation and calming the nervous system. They fondly refer to their specialists as “massage ninjas”, who are great sources of knowledge with refined touch skills. And we couldn’t agree more!
