Austin’s Independence Brewing Co. is coming in clutch this year by hosting a frighteningly fun costume contest and drive-in Halloween party featuring trivia, a double-feature movie screening, and more! Independence Brewing is brewing up something extra special this Halloween. Starting at 6:30 pm on Halloween night, the brewery is hosting a wickedly fun patio and drive-in bash filled with tricks, treats, and festivities.
“Shock the Vote ATX, Independence Brewing Company, and Blumhouse Productions, the mastermind studio that brought you Get Out, Insidious, and Paranormal Activity, invite you to the ultimate Halloween party” the brewery writes on its event page.
“Get dressed up for a smashing night of Halloween festivities and a drive-in double feature of Halloween (1978) and Halloween (2018)! We’ll have a costume contest with plenty of prizes (respecting social distance practices, of course), an unforgettable Halloween-themed pre-show reel to get you in the spirit, bold beer from Independence Brewing that will shock your palate, thrilling trivia, Halloween prizes from Trick or Treat Studios, and other spine-chilling surprises.”
Margie’z Place food truck will be parked on location to fulfill your wildest cravings for tacos, nachos, and more. Additionally, theater snacks will also be available in the form of popcorn, candy, and soda.
Suggested ticket donations are $10. Buyers will can do so with a clean conscience, as 80% of profits will is to go directly to local non-profits, including: Austin Creative Alliance, Austin Justice Coalition, Between the Pages, Out Youth, The SAFE Alliance, and Texas Appleseed.
Due to the situation, all visitors must wear masks when outside their vehicles. The brewery has also noted that the event is subject to cancellation due to inclement weather or COVID-19 regulation changes. Full refunds will be provided in the event.
