Things are cooking in San Antonio!
Last year, when the pandemic threw a wrench in all things live entertainment – or otherwise drove it into the internet – Electric Fiesta was one of the first promoters to get live performances back in action with its premier EDM Drive-In event. This April, they’re turning things up a notch with their dance-music-powered, socially-distanced concept: Electric Cookout.
Electric Cookout is set to go off on April 17 in Downtown, San Antonio at 800Live Bar and Nightclub. In addition to roof-bursting music powered by dance music phenoms, EDM Maniac, the indoor/outdoor event promises digital art installations, local painters making artwork followed by a digital auction, and live comedy from their “roastmaster” host.
As the name is Electric Cookout, visitors can also expect some of the best cuisine that San Antonio has to offer, with a special curation and hand-selection of San Antonio’s favorite food trucks from food and beverage tastemaker, SATXrated.
To make the Electric Cookout as safe as possible, the promoters have coordinated with local officials in preparation for the event. Throughout the duration of event and after party, attendants must wear masks when not eating or drinking. Furthermore, event organizers will implement extensive sanitization protocols, as well as organize seating to ensure safe social distancing.
Tickets to Electric Cookout start at $20 for general admission starting at 4 pm Saturday, April 17. Visitors can also opt to get extra with pre-party access starting at 3 pm, including general admission and after-party access for $50.
