Grab some fresh air at Armadillo Den.
The downside of spending the holiday season in the Lonestar State is that we miss out on some of the yuletide magic. While we might not get to pirouette on a frozen pond or partake in an improvisational snowball fight, we can still eat and drink in the open air without freezing our buns off. Swing down to South Austin’s newest hangout, Armadillo Den, for a refreshing good time.
The two-story Armadillo Den is hooked up with Google Fiber Wifi. With both indoor and outdoor seating options, this makes the Den ideal for mixing work and play. Its spacious patio is spruced up with oak trees, plenty of tables, yard games, a swing, and a running creek. In the near future, the Den plans to open an off-leash dog park as well as construct a kid-friendly awning area.
“Whether you’re a bar stool, picnic table, or lawn chair kind of person… we’ve got plenty of space for you (and hopefully your dog) to enjoy yourself.”
Armadillo Den offers 18 beers on tap, 4 draft cocktails – choose your own spirit, 3 house cocktails, and a pair of local food trucks: Pueblo Viejo, which serves casual authentican Mexican eats, and Ranch Hand, a protein-based health-food concept truck.
While the indoor dance floor is currently on hiatus pending the pandemic, Armadillo Den is holding nightly live shows for the time being; check here for the week’s line-up.
Armadillo Den is open from 4 pm – 2 am, Monday through Friday, and noon – 2 am Saturday and Sunday.
